Plug in the hair straightener and allow it to heat up to your desired temperature. Section your hair and start straightening small portions at a time. Place the hair between the ceramic-tourmaline plates, ensuring even contact with the hair. Close the plates and glide the iron down the length of your hair smoothly and slowly. Repeat this process for each section of your hair until it is fully straightened. For curls or waves, wrap sections of hair around the plates and twist the iron as you move down the hair shaft.
